We have a big problem to solve. Too many of Virginia’s children cannot read by third grade. In fact, 40% cannot read proficiently and in some communities across Virginia, it is even worse. Children who have equitable access to quality books have stronger literacy outcomes. Together, WE can help EVERY child read.
