A Letter from Charlotte Minor & Lisa Howard

Dear Friends,

We wanted to share pictures from the launch of The Gil Minor Innovation & Impact Fund at The Commonwealth Club. It truly was a special day to honor a man who served on the E3:Elevate Early Education Board of Directors for many years and cared deeply about education issues. He would be incredibly proud of the work being done across Virginia to help EVERY child read by third grade.

For Gil, the reading crisis was a workforce development issue. He knew that if we could ensure every child had the basic skills to read, write and do math, they would be successful in K-12, higher education, work and life.

 

The Gil Minor Innovation and Impact Fund will:

• Create Literacy Innovation & Impact Pilots to help more children read by third grade.
• Generate resources for innovative literacy initiatives.
• Expand access to quality for low-and middle-income families through The New E3 School Scholarship Fund.
