Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Virginia (DPIL) – HB 1075
DPIL is a book gifting program that mails books to children before they enter kindergarten. The books come with tips and tools for families to engage and interact with the stories.
We expect this bill to be heard in the Senate Finance + Appropriations Committee tomorrow, February 28th.
There are book deserts in neighborhoods and communities across Virginia. Too many children and families are in areas without access to books. This has to change. Let’s work together to get more quality books in the hands of our children across VA and expand Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
